From the rooftop of the Yuzana Hotel in Yangon, the capital city of Myanmar, the massive hilltop Shwedagon Pagoda lights up the sky. I didn't get a chance to go to the pagoda itself, as when I returned to Yangon on my way out of the country I had been robbed and had no money left for the entrance fee. I had seen soooo many temples and pagodas by that time that even the wonder of Shwedagon might not have impressed my heat addled head. :)



I shall have to content myself with my rooftop photos from afar, the jewel on the hill.
