WFP chief urges Myanmar to ease hunger

James Morris, head of the World Food Program, urged the Myanmar junta Friday to help get millions of its people out of hunger. Morris, executive director of the WFP, said in Bangkok after visiting Myanmar that hunger and poverty in Myanmar are ''serious and unacceptable,'' with millions of people starving and many children chronically malnourished or physically stunted.
